Department of Motor Vehicles Announces Port Office Opening in Providenciales

The Department of Motor Vehicles has announced the opening of a new branch at the Clinton Wilson Port Building to improve service delivery for residents and commercial operators.

The Department of Motor Vehicles has announced the opening of a new branch at the Clinton Wilson Port Building, aimed at improving service delivery for residents and commercial operators.

Effective June 1, the Port office will provide motor vehicle inspection and full registration services, expanding access and reducing wait times.

The new location also strengthens regulatory oversight at a key entry point, ensuring vehicles entering Providenciales are properly inspected and compliant before using public roads.

The office will operate Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Customers are required to present valid identification, proof of insurance, and customs clearance documents for processing. Driver licensing and theory exams will remain at the main DMV office.

Minister of Home Affairs Akierra Missick said the initiative supports safer roads, improved accountability, and more efficient public service delivery.

The DMV said the expansion reflects its commitment to modernizing infrastructure and enhancing national service systems.
